    Stretching

I've recently found a youtuber that has TAILBONE length hair and her hair is GORGEOUS! As I watched her videos I learned that she blow dries her hair in order to stretch her hair. It cuts down on knots, tangles and breakage. The concept seemed to make a whole lot of sense so I decided to give it a try. I blow dried my hair on a warm setting using the tension method and a heat protectant. It wasn't bone straight of course but my curls were nicely stretched. I've been able to style my hair with ease and I've gotten awesome volume with my twist outs. I know heat isn't curly hair friendly but I think that if I plan this out carefully and be cautious I think this could cut down on my breakage by blowdrying.

Does anyone else stretch their hair? If so, what method do you use?

Yes. I have stretched mine by using the tension method/diffuser on cool. It does help. I only do it once in a while for a certain style. No need to if I'm doing a high puff that week or any low maintenance style

I ended up only doing it once. My little one doesn't like my hair stretched. She kept saying "It doesn't look nice." LOL. Once I washed my hair and shse saw my curls she was all smiles.
