Thanks so much!!! I haven’t had a relaxer since Jan. I found your site today and I am soooo excited to try different styles with my hair. I have no idea how to do hair, but I will try to learn how to twist. I have short hair so Idk if the loose twists will hold. Ur videos are great!!! Thanks!!!!

Hey Erica,
Girrrrl, I was not a “do hair” girl either so if I can do it, anyone can!

Thank you so much for your site! I appreciate your tutorials as they have really helped me on my journey… I am merely 9 weeks post relaxer. I love the layout of your information, it’s nice to know what to expect in the upcoming two years! Every time I get the itch to just big chop straight away I look at your site and it brings me peace over my decision to transition long term and learn how to care for my hair now. So, rod sets and my curl formers and Bantu knot outs are going to become a part of my styling regimen! Thank you for everything! Your hair looks great!

Awesome! Glad I could inspire. ๐ Thanks for stopping by Senecea.

Hi Lisa, I have been researching and trying to become natural with my hair. I have not had a relaxer since August of 2011 and it has been a hard process on just styling my hair and not being tempted to relax my hair. Your hair styles of transition has really motivated me to play with my hair for different styles. I have been wearing my hair braided ot the back and then taking them down in the morning. I really want to try your style of flat twisting my hair up the side and then roding the rest of my hair. Also what main products would you suggest that I go and get just to start off: such as what shampoo and conditioner, moisturizer, and any other things I need. Also I have a 7 yr. old daughter who is all natural and actually her hair is naturally curly and I want for us both to use the sme products. So please let me know what you think and I wish I could talk to you over the phone but that probably sounds crazy but you have really motivated me.
Peace,
Jamila

Hi Jamila
This post will show you what I used…

Just understand that you really have to experiment with products. Since your daughter’s hair is naturally curly, you may find that what I used may not work as good for her. In the beginning I tried buying products other people used but quickly learned I had to find what worked best for my hair.
