Hi Lisa,
How do you keep the style from drying out; what do you use on your scalp? Also, what is your daily routine for keeping this style to last for 2 weeks? Girl, God bless you for having the patience and desire to help others transition to natural and for those wanting to maintain and stay natural. I am so loving my hair right now (talk to me in October & I may not feel the same way). Hahaha – You are such a blessing, again thank you. Antoinette

I dab a natural oil on the twists every other day or so. I learned my scalp dryness was coming from too much sebum production on my scalp and not dryness. So instead I now use a jojoba oil and tea tree oil mix on my scalp prior to shampooing. It helps slow sebum production and prevents as much flaking. I may also dab a bit of it on my scalp 2-3 times per week. I use 2 drops of tea tree oil for every ounce of jojoba oil.

Greetings Lisa, I think it is wonderful that you decided to share the outcome of this Flat Twist Updo even though you did’nt like it as well as the 1st. At least you have been doing lot’s of gorgeous styles with your transitioning hair; and I’m alway’s anxiously awaiting to see just what you have in store for us next. I no longer have any relaxer on my hair. I could’nt stop cutting every time I cleansed my hair. So at 10mos. into my transition I look up and no more relaxed hair. Not really what I was after; but I did’nt heed the warning to stop cutting. My Mother is still working with her transitioning hair. (That is after seeing one of your video’s that I shared with her) She has recieved many positive compliments on her natural hair. She now tell’s everyone we are turning into Princesses {:-).. Thank you Lisa for your time, effort; and inspiration you give to us all. You’re one of my hair Idol’s.
